- There are lots of beliefs about the weather in this district. One of these beliefs is about the moon and it is this : when there is a ring round the moon that is said to be a storm coming.Another local belief is, that when the sun sets very red it is a sign of good weather but there is a change coming shortly after.

There are some local sayings about the months such as March and February.
