The Robin.
The robin is a fairly small bird. It has a green back and a red breast. It is said that the way it got its red breast is that when our Saviour was Crucified it tried ti pull the nails out of his hands. And some of his blood went on its breast and made it red. It builds its nest in a hole in a ditch and it sits on the eggs three weeks.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
