  1. I. One night two boys went out to the field for potatoes over in Meenaniller, when they were lifting the potatoes they heard lovely music coming from the direction of the rocks at the end of the field. They went over to the rock and it opened up like a cave. A voice said “come in” and as they were going in (and as the night was dark one of them was carring a coal to show them light) the boy that was carring the coal would not be allowed to enter so he went home and told what happened. The neighbours all went out that night to search for him, but they could not find him, and they were searching for three days, and on the fourth day he was found sitting in the same field exhausted, and he was taken home. When he got some food he quickly recovered and he began to tell his adventures with the fairies although the fairies gave him very strict orders not to tell
