    outside the ramparts waiting for him. Donnell was furious when he saw the castle of his ancestors on fire. When he came to the outer wall he saw Rury standing some distance away. In his rage he lifted a stone and hurled it at his brother. The stone struck Rury on the forehead and he fell dead.
    Donnell was greatly grieved at this deed. The fire destroyed the whole building and there is nothing left now but the ruins of the once famous Inch Castle.
    Many a time indeed did its broken down walls offer safe refuge to some out-lawed son of Erin.
