- Long ago the people eat three meals in a day. Oat sitrabout, oat bread, potatoes and milk. Every one got their fill. There was no tea long ago. Long ago the table used to be against the wall. The table used to be against the wall. The table that was stuck to the wall was on hinges. The people used to bring this table down at meal-time. When they would be finished the people used to put it up again. The people long ago use to eat geese, fowl, hares, bacon and rabbits. There was plenty of good butter long ago. There was plenty of fish also. On set nights there was tea, oat bread and butter. The people long ago worked two hours before they got their breakfast. Then they had a pot of boiled potatoes and these people would eat them.
