  1. The mid-day meal often consists of potatoes, salt & buttermilk. When the potatoes are boiled they are drained into a basket over a bucket. The basket is then put in the centre of the kitchen. The people sit round & peel the potatoes with their fingers. Then they dip them into salt & eat them. & drink buttermilk.
