  1. Mother dear are you sleeping
No dear child I am dreaming
Dreaming that our Savious had been
    scourged and crucified
and his precious blood spilled before
    us
Every one who says this prayer three times
    by night or by day
For Jesus' sake shall never take the
    fever ache, fallen illness
    Hung or be drowned.
When I lay down on my right
    side
I pray to God to be my guide
God the plant, God the flower
God give me a happy hour
    Mary stands at my bed-head
Saint Joseph at my feet Jesus stands at my right side
