  1. Nettles, boiled or stewed in water, served up as nettle tea, is one of the commonest cures for the measles.
    Garlic, a small bulb, the shape of an onion, is greatly used for bronchitis, rheumatism, influenza and sore throats. The older people put a clove of garlic in their socks, when they have a bad cold, because they say, it draws out the cold from their bodies. Garlic can be eaten in cloves or whole bulbs.
    Dandelion juice, when rubbed on a wart cures it. It also cures yellow jaundice.
    Tansy is a small plant. When boiled in water, and made into tansy tea, it strengthens delicate people.
    Hearts Ease gives great relief to a person, who has heart disease.
    Parsley, if eaten cures rheumatism.
    Golden Rod is useful for stomach trouble.
