- Hallow E’en comes on the last night of October. It is an old custom to eat nuts and apples. Most people make a barm-brack and put a thimble a ring and a piece of money in it.
The person who gets the thimble will never be married. The person who gets the money will be rich and the person who gets the ring will be married first.
On Hallow E’en the boys and girls dress in old clothes and go from house to house for nuts and money and apples.
Long ago the people played a lot of games on Hallow E’en such as burning nuts together.
