    You feeling hearted Christians come listen
    to this fate
    My tongue it is scarce able those sad lines
    to relate
    Concerning heroes bold who have met a watery tomb
    They were brought up most tenderly in the parish of Drumholm.

    II
    It was on 21st of May in they [their?] year of 49
    They were summoned to appear that day before the Lord divine
    They were summoned to appear that day to make no delay
    Their souls to be seated with the Lord and their bodies to the sea.

    III
    It was on a Monday morning in the fore noon of the day
    Down by the shore where billows roor those young men took their way
    They straight advanced their boat they launched and
    soon became a wreck
    Little they knew their lot was true for never to come back

    They launched their boat set her afloat the morning it
    beind clear [?]
    Four of them sat down to row the other for to steer
