When a bargain is made the parties to the bargain strike hands. When a seller is being paid he returns half a crown or five shillings to the buyer for luck. The animals are marked with keel when sold. When an animal is sold the rope is also given. The great fairs of the year are the Harvest fair and the May fair. The biggest Harvest fair around this district is held in Ballyshannon and the biggest May fair is held in Donegal. There is a pig market in our district every Tuesday.
