Ar an leathanach seo
- Once upon a time there was a man who had five cows. He milked them every night and used to churn their milk but no butter came on it. He then went to a woman he knew and told what had happened and she promised to put a stop to the trouble.
The next night when they churned the milk, to their surprise butter came on it. When they had it nearly churned, a woman came to the door and asked if any butter was coming on the milk and they told her there was. A couple of minutes later they heard a noise outside. The man ran for his gun, went outside and walking over to the byre door he saw a woman standing at the door. He shot at her and thought he had killed her, but when he ran to the spot what did he see but a hare picking the shot out of its leg.
It appeared that the woman was a witch who could change herself into a hare when she wished. From that day out however the farmer had no more trouble with his butter or milk.
