“In olden days there was an old church on Capnawean.”
In olden days there was an old church on Carnawean. It is about 90 years ago and when it was up twenty years it fell. It was on a Sunday and the people all were inside and mass was going on. Some of the people were injured. The stones are to seen to the present days. It is said that it was Fionn Ma Cumhaill that tossed it. He was out the hills and he came the way of this church.He was very tired so he lifted a stone and threw against the wall to sit on. There was so much force with the stone that it tossed the church.This church was built from ten o'clock in the night to six in the morning.
