    of rain. Before a storm the sheep come in and in good weather they stay on the top of the mountains. When the cat sits with her back to the fire it is a sign of a storm.

    When there is a blue blaze in the fire it is a sign of a storm When the smoke is going up straight into the air it is a sign of good weather

  2. A far away “broc” (halo) is a sign of a near storm. When a robin sings on the top of a bush it is a sign of good weather.
    Animals.—
    When the goats come home it is a sign of a storm. When a dog is eating grass it is a sign of a storm.
    Wind.—
    It is a sign of wind when the ducks flap their wings.
    Insects.—
    When the crickets fly through the house it is a sign of a storm.
