- The animals we have at home are, cows, horses, pigs, hens, ducks, turkeys, donkey, and calves.
We call one of our cows Nancy and the other Bella. The colour of our two cows are, red and white.
Cows are not allowed out in the Winter days, because it is too cold for them and they would die. The cows are left out all the time in the Summer, only when they are brought up and tied in the byre to be milked.
The cows are milked at eight o'clock in the morning and six o'clock in the evening.
Some people hang horse shoes in the cows byre for luck, and others tie a piece of red cloth on the cows tail to keep the fairies away.
Pigs are bought and fattened and then sold for pork. The pigs feeding is made of potatoes, turnips, and creamery milk.
