If they had whooping cough, they got a saucer of milk, and got a ferret to blow its breath over it, then the one who had the whooping cough took the milk, fasting in the morning, for three mornings.

If they had warts on their hands they got a big black snail and rubbed it on the wart, and then hung it on a blackthorn bush, when the snail rots so does the wart.

A Stye on the eye was cured by bathing with boiling milk for three nights.
