Ar an leathanach seo

  1. It name is Tullyhurk, in the Parish of Kilbarron in the Barony of Tirhugh. There are thirteen families in the towland [sic]. There are approximately 50 people in it. There are thatched and slated houses in the townland.
There is one person over 70 living in the townland – Mr. Hugh Corscadden. They do not know Irish. They can tell stories some of olden times in English. There are a few in ruins now.
The townland is not mentioned in any song or saying that I know of.
The land is fairly good. It is good for growing corn, potatoes and vegetables. There is no wood growing there. The two-mile river flows through my land. There are no fish to be found in it. Loc Orl [?] is a small lake in front of my house. There is a stream between my house and Mr. John Gallagher’s garden. It is the stream that separates Tullyhurk from Parkhill.
