About 10 miles south-wards from Brittas, where the Liffey scheme is now in operation, it is said that a man comes there every night and beats the watch-man, and now there are several men in hospital suffing from shock.
It is said that a soldier walks the road every night at twelve o'clock, at the Cross chapel, about three miles south-wards from Brittas.
A black dog is said to be seen at a mile-stone, just a few hundred yards away from Brittas school.
It is also said that very strange noises have been heard at Hornidge's house in the same locality.
