  1. Sore Eyes:
    There are many kinds of cures for sore eyes and this is one of them. You get a branch of a gooseberry bush with nine thorns on it. Then you take one of the thorns, and point them one by one to the persons eye, and make the sign of the cross with each thorn. Then you throw the thorn over your left shoulder. You do the same with all the nine, and your eye is cured soon afterward.
