    There is also a weed called the pile weed. It is a tiny seed that grows in a garden and its seed resembles the wheat. It cures piles. Those are also boiled down and taken as a medicine. The flower we call the Buttercup is their blossom.

  2. In olden times the people did not wear boots or shoes until they were practically 18 years of age, when they were able to wear a pair for themselves. Owing to circumstances their parents were not rich enough to buy them a pair. Clogs were made locally and worn by the people, but as years passed onward the clogs were out of date. Years ago there were great shoe-makers in the district but they died and their families did not continue the trade, therefore the trade in out district almost died out.
