   The travelling folk still visit our homes but not so numerous as they used to. They have been doing this as long as anyone can remember. They are always very poor and they live their lives begging. They sell small articles such as medals, small pictures studs for shirts and small things like that. Some people buy them not because they are in need of them but for charity. They make the're supplies themselves. They are not as welcome as they used to be because every time the people see them they know it is to beg.

   Long ago when people could not get to shops they had to buy tin cans to carry there water in. They generally stay more than one night in a place but they are not supposed. Some of them have carivans but most of them have carivans but most of them sleep under a cart or with canvas over them. They never take food with them they depend on the charity of the people. They travel on foot or on a cart. They generally travel in families because if they
