Ar an leathanach seo

  1. The main roads here are called roads, but narrowerer ones are called lanes, or bye roads. They go from one large town to another, and pass through the smaller villages. Many of the lanes were once the main roads. Nearly all the roads here are very old. Most of the lanes are not used except by farmers who use them to get to the various fields. The school is built on a lane but it is always kept in good order and a lot of traffic is always passing up and down on it. There once a ford down near the sea at the estuary of a river and it is still used by horses and carts. The only monuments in Swords are crosses on the side of the road on which there is writing which I cannot distinguish I beleive that these crosses are where people were killed in road accidents form time time.
