- About three miles from Swords there is the ruin of an old nunnery in a place called Grace a (duie) diu. The name of these forts are usually rath. The shape of this old fort is round and in side there is a tunnel under the ground. There is a story attached to this old ruin. In former times this old ruin was a convent were nuns used to live. One day they were invited out to dinner by a gentleman. During the time they were away he employed men to burn their convent. When the nuns returned the convent was burned to ruins and it is said that the cries of the nuns could be heard in Rome. When the nuns were leaving the place they called it grace adiu. Ever since that the fairies have been seen in it.
