  1. The people in olden times used to hide their valuables under-ground. Monks and priests used to do the same because the Danes used to rob them for drinking cups when they came to rob along the Irish Coasts.
    In Ballyhack there is an old castle where it is said gold or valuables of some kind are hidden. People made many attempts to find it but it has never been found.
