- These are some place names on our farm.
"An Ladar" is the name of one because it is a hill between two rivers.
!Blach an Bó". There used to be black turf in the field and a cow used to be grazing there always.
"Inse na Luachra" there used to be rushes got there always. There are some rushes there yet but not much.
"Páirc a Ruiséailigh" a man named Russell had that field once.
"Clais a Cnuich" it is a hollow between two hills.
"Insín a Bhob" Bob was a horse, he used to be grazing in the inse. An inse is a little field down near a river.
"Inse Máire is Pádraig" Máire and Pádraigh were an old couple who lived in the inse.
A man named Merrigan one of our neighbours has a field named "Páirc na Gairleóige". Garlic used to grow in it.
"An Inse Fada" we call another little field. It is very long. An inse is a little field near a river. - The name of the townland in which I live is called Cnoc(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
