- Ballyheena is the name of my district. There are about thirty houses in it. There are not many thatched houses around here as the most of them are slated. There are only three or four people over seventy years around here and I think they all have Irish. There are a lot of ruins of old houses. There is a ruin of a castle in this district and is is after the people of it this district is called. There is a ruin of an old mill and of a great house. They were owned by a man whose name was Lord Hastings.
