Ar an leathanach seo

  1. There is a large and ancient oak tree near Parkdota which is about a quarter of a mile east of Tallow. This tree is said to be bewitched. One branch spreads out over the road. No leaves grew on this branch except at the top. In shape it is very like a broom. It is called the Witches Broom. Tradition has it that a witch used to sweep the ground under the tree with this branch.
    The witch used to live in the green ground leaves in Summer and in Winter she went into the trunk where she lived. There is a small hole like a keyhole in the side of the tree. This is said to be the lock of the door and whoever found the key and opened the door was made rich forever. But no-one found it so far.
    Near this tree there was a house called 'Hole in the Wall' where one gets "A cup of tea for a penny and a glass of
