    that there was gold buried there. She wrote home and told of her dream. her brother then went to dig for the treasure and found the gold coin(?) which he sold to a jeweller in Cappoquin for £10. It is thought that the gold coin (probably a bronze or gold object) was worth much more but that the jeweller did not give him the full value of it.
    The boy also states that there are many marks, like chisel marks, to be seen on the stone.
    This account has been related to me by Domhnall Ó Briagha a pupil in this school aged 10yrs and the son of the Un Bray above mentioned and Grandson of the old Seanachaidhe Donncada Ó Caoimh)
    (Since, I have visited this place and seen the stone mentioned above. It appears to be the covering stone of a dolmen which was destroyed during the process of reclaiming the field. This large table stone was probably rolled to the side of a nearby stream over the side of which it now rests in a rather precarious position)
