There lived near Lismore a poor woman Mrs Foley. One night she was up late sewing and three women who had been dead four years came in and sat down at the fire. One of the women took out a box and offered a pinch to the woman of the house. The woman took it and thanked her saying "God bless ye". The women told her that they were saved through her saying "God bless ye" as they were from Purgatory. The woman was never short of anything for the rest of her life.- Bailitheoir
