- In older times people did not wear boots until they were about seven or eight years of age. The children at the present go barefooted in summer but they wear them in winter time.
Boots are bought in shops but they are also made locally and repaired also. There are two shoemakers in my district and their fathers also were shoemakers. Clogs are also worn in my district.
When a person washes his feet, the water which he uses in washing them is not supposed to be thrown out until the last member of the household has came in for the night.
