- In the year 1910 the sixteenth of December a great snow storm occurred. The evening before the storm was very dark (very) clouds rushing through the sky.
That night at eight O'Clock a snow storm blew. It was fierce You could not put your head outside the door or you would freeze.
That night my father heard a noise. He got up and looked at the barn; three sheets of galvanized iron were taken clear off the top of the house and landed a mile beyond the house in a pond of water.Many boats that were on the river were taken for miles beyond where they were tied. In many woods a stick was not left standing.
On the Lismore road a man was coming from Lismore. Just as he was passing under a big tree it fell on top of him(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
