  1. About sixty years ago, there lived in the village of Gortlogher, Backs, Co. Mayo, a man named Mr. Brian Myles. He was married and had a bog family of eight children. He was very poor, and was not able to pay his rent.
    He was served with a notice for his rent. After six days, the landlord, who was Captain Orme, the sheriff, and police came and evicted himself and his wife and eight children out of their home. They put all the furniture out also.
