Ar an leathanach seo
- When a person died about sixty years ago certain customes were adopted in this district. The body was laid overboard in the bed. Then the neighbours and friends of all came to the house to express their sorrow to the relatives of the deceased.
As a general rule the old people came during the day, and the younger people remaimed up all night at the "wake". In those days a person was waked for two days. Then all the third day the friends and neighbours all collected for the funeral.
At about two or three o clock in the afternoon, the body was enclosed in(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
