- The Cuckoo comes to this place in April. She comes from Africa. She lays four eggs in another birds nest. Then the other bird bird hatches the eggs, and when the young cuckoos come out she will feed them. The cuckoo eats eggs to make voice sweet. She has not a very nice song. Cuckoo, Cuckoo is all she sings. When the Cuckoo comes to this place you will know that summer is coming. She comes in April. If you have a brood of eggs down when she come she will delay them a couple of days longer from coming out. If you are looking down to the ground the first time you hear the cuckoo you will have bad luck for the year.
