  1. Long ago when people used to get married they went to the chapel on horses. On one horse the bridegroom used to sit in front and the bride used to sit behind him. Then all their friends used to go on other horses. When the newly married couple came out of the chapel all the friends used to race home. The person who used to arrive at the house first would have to share the good things at the wedding. Father says it was more fun to see them all running than it is to watch any races now a days.
