- Long ago Belleek Manor was the home of monks. They lived on fish and what they got from the land. The place where they used to fish is called Pollnamonac. One of the monks used to travel with St. Patrick. He used to fish on Pollnamonac and it was said that the place was never short of fish since. He is supposed to be buried in Leigue Cemetery under a big flag where the people finish the St. Patrick well station.
