- There once lived a man in Ballymachola whose name was John Power. Once he dreampt of a pot of gold under a big t̶r̶e̶e̶ rock in his field, three nights in succession. On the third morning at 8'clock he set off with a spade and a pickaxe and started digging round the rock and he came to a large flag and he was not able to lift it. He ran home for his wife, and when she heard it she was overjoyed. They both ran quickly to the place and when they lifted the flag they found to their surprise a small pot of gold. They took it home and they lived happily ever after.
