  1. Long ago there came a great Irish chieftain to the north sea coast off Ballycastle Mayo. He was riding on a great charger. He rode along the shore until he came to a place called Trauj ban and there he halted looking out to the sea.
    All of a sudden what appeared but a beautiful lady sitting on a big rock some hundred yards from the shore. The Chieftain resolved to capture the beautiful lady so he waited for the ebb of the next wave and galloped his charger out towards the sea. A strange thing happened then the wave did not return but the strand
