  1. One day a woman went out looking at her cows. When she was walking along the river she saw the hare sucking the cow. The woman took a stone and struck the hare and the hare fell back as if dying. The woman went down but when she was below the hare was gone. She went home and went to mass. When she was on her way home from mass she heard that the there was a woman sick. She went to see the sick woman. When she went into the room she asked her what was on her and the sick woman said "there is nothing but what you done to me". The other woman said "what did I do to you?" The sick woman answered "don't you know the morning you struck the hare with the stone? That was me".

  2. There was a man living one time where Pat Robinson is living now and every Sunday instead of going to mass it is how he would go out shooting. This Sunday he went out and it was not long till a hare got up within a few yards of him. He fired at the hare but she only hopped away a few yards and sat up looking at him. He fired again but the hare was not a bit put about. After he had fired several times and knew that it must'nt be a hare at all that was in it he went home and shortly after he told the priest. The priest told him never to take a gun in his hands again and to go to mass every Sunday.
