  1. Long ago there lived a saint in Ballycastle, her name was St. Brigid. The old people tell us that she was a very great saint, and that there were many graces received through her. She was very good to the poor, and any beggar that came to her for a charity, she would give anything she had to him.
    There is a blessed well named after this saint in this district, and people go there doing Stations on the feast day of the saint.
    There are holidays in honour of some of the saints.
