Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)and it is believed that he went to France to become a priest. His parents were herds at Lord of Tirawley. General Humbert was French and the first stone he left his foot on when coming a shore, can be seen to day in Banagher where the Robinson's once lived.
It was brought there by Peter Nealon who afterwards owned the place, and it was at one time intended to send it to Dublin to be used as a base for Parnells statue. The stone was painted out by Walter Coultry, who said his grandfather showed it to him as the first stone Humbert left his foot on when coming ashore. A writing to testify to the above is held in Banagher still by Mrs Loftus.
The stone is of a considerable weight and was brought by a horse and float, acrooss a green field, below Saint Cummin's well, and afterwards(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
