- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)that it was advertised that Saint Cummin came to Kilcummin in a little box. And his mother came to see if it was true. When the woman saw the lace cloth that was around the child she said it was her own hand-work so she believed it was her own child. So that is why the well was called Saint Cummin's well and a lot of people gather to the well on Garland Sunday to do stations there. After a while the child died and they buried him in Kilcummin graveyard. The also go into the graveyard to pray at his grave.
