Ar an leathanach seo

The townland of Ballinglen in olden tines was far more thickly populated than it is now. There were about four times as many dwellings in Ballinglen in former times as there are now. About half the number were "cottiers". A Cottier lived on a few roods of land and worked for the farmers when he could get work to do. His pay was very small about sixpence per day. He mostly made his living by weaving, for the small farmer ion this days was very poor. He had to pay large rents to the landlord and his food was very poor as it considered mainly of potatoes.
Years ago there lived a great number of protestants in Ballinglen but they emigrated to America. In this little townland, at present there are
