    It is said that when the soldiers were after Our Lord they asked the robin did he see such a man pass thay way. The robin answered that he did not. Just then a wren popped out of a bush and said that such a person had passed that way that day. The soldiers followed in hot pursuit. Thats why the people do not like the wren.
    When Our Lord was on the cross and there was a thorn in His breast. When the robin saw the thorn in His breast he went and picked it out. A drop of blood fell on the robin's breast and that is why it is always red.
