Ar an leathanach seo

Michael Loftus was the head teacher and there were two other teacher's with him, his two sisters Bridget and Katherine Loftus. They only taught English. They walked every morning from Bonniconlon to the school. The master was a great walker. He'd walk from his school to Ballina in one hour and no one could do that but himself. The school was built on the side of the road. The building is still there. It is now occupied by P. Lawrence, shopkeeper. The pupils had to be in at ten o'clock for roll-call. They had to bring two sods of turf every morning.
- The first old school was in Melvin's house. It was only a small low house. It was in it before the National schools were started. There was no name for the old schools. The children used to learn many subjects in Irish. The teacher used to speak to the children in Irish. The(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
