The animals that the farmers in this district keep on their land are cows, pigs, sheep and horses. The cows are kept in a stable called the cow house, and straw is used as bedding for them. A medal is sometimes hung up in the barn to keep away harm from the cattle.
The horse does most of the work on the farm. He ploughs and harrows the land, and draws home the turf.
