Ar an leathanach seo
- There are many herbs and plants commonly known in the district. Some of the herbs are harmful and others are not. There is a weed called the Docket Leaf and it is said that it is a harmful herb as it is spreads and makes the land poor. It grows only where the land is poor and it is sometimes given as to pigs as food. There is another plant called Dandelion and it is also given as food to animals. It is found only where the land is good and it is found in meadows and rich fields during Summer. It goes into seeds in the month of July and August. There are two herbs and they are poisonous. One of them grows at the bottom of hills and it will poison sheep. The other herb is to be found near the fences in the fields. It has a small leave and a white flower comes on it. It is poison for cattle. There is also an herb called achartalman(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
