Ar an leathanach seo
- It is said that it is unluc[k]y to in the month of May and it is lucky to be married in June. People generally get married in the time of year from the sixth of January to Ash Wednesday.
In times gone by the marriage took place in the evening. A procession marched from the brides to the Church headed by musicians generally flute players.
The wedded couple then returned to the house where a feast took place consisting of porter poitin potatoes and cabbage and bacon.
The feast was always interrupted by whalpers or as the one called straw boys(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
