  1. Some of the people had places marked out where they would have a fair.
    There was a place in Ballina Costello and there is a crossroads in it now and the Glore river flows under it now.
    All the people of the district used to go to that place to sell and buy. It is still held in that place yet. The fiars were held on the 9th of June and the 13th of November.
    Dún na Móna is near Croagh Patrick and there used to be a fair held there three times every year. One in January another in June and another in December. The people used to sell cattle and sheep and
