  1. Long ago, the people had a great deal of knowledge about the weather.
    They had signs for cold weather, hot weather, frosty weather, fine or wet weather.
    When you would be raking the fire at night and you would see a blue blaze in the ashes, it was said that there would be wet weather.
    When a fleet of crows gather together under a bush or stand on the ditches it was also a sign of wet weather.
    If the dog ate grass it was also a sign for wet weather.
